22:30 The Los Angeles District Attorney (not the FBI) secretly recorded Dr. George Hodel at home. And they did capture Dr. Hodel saying, "Supposin' I did kill the Black Dahlia? They couldn't prove it now because my secretary is dead." Not the words of an innocent man. Not something Steve Hodel imagined. LAPD did not exonerate Dr. Hodel. He fled the country to avoid being arrested.

What a treat! I loved the surprise with Anthony and Mare. So sweet! I remember seeing this movie when it first came out, and was blown away by the end. I worked on the Miracle Mile in 1988 at 5455 Wilshire...back when that building stuck out like a sore thumb because it was turquoise! And then some dumb ass painted it black. Thank you for this wonderful tour!!

Well done, I had to watch this movie for a college class. I went back to community college and was 30 at the time. We had to write about the characters. I turned in 15 pages. My teacher thought I rewrote the script. I got an A+.I had not seen that movie up until that point. For some reason My local video stores didn't have a copy available. It must have been checked out.I am a movie expert having seen 4,500 movies to date.

Small sacrifices was the Diane Downs story. It happened in Oregon. She took her three children for a ride, pulled over and shot them all. The oldest girl survived and was able to testify her mother shot them, not a stranger. The boy survived but was paralyzed and the youngest girl died. Diane actually got pregnant while serving time in prison and the baby was taken away and adopted. She liked being pregnant but kids got in the way of her dating life. She comes up for parole hearings and ends up on tv now and then. Alana is probably thinking of Susan Smith who put her kids in her car and rolled it into a lake then fake cried about her poor babies.

It was an accident. I put it in the description of this video. I meant to call it the "old San Diego Freeway" which now of course is where the 405 is. It was a quick slip since I don't read from a script when I'm telling these stories.

This was so much fun! So many wonderful stories and homes. Really surprised to learn about Meredith Baxter's history and loved Barbara La Marr. But I think Lottie Pickford has to be my favorite because she was always getting into trouble and had a house full of drugs and naked people. It can't get any better than that. We should all be so lucky.
